Haven't topped out my car yet, max I have done is 307km/h on the HUD when driving home from Germany on the autobahn, even at that speed (and completely stock) it was still accelerating in decent pace but my friend in his S500 4matic was so far behind at that time that I had to slow down a bit

Rev limiter in 6:th cuts in at exactly 300km/h speedo speed
On mine at around 285 km/h because of the diff.

It's not about "fast", it's all about "quick"! I love the burst of power and torque the M5 has, I don't like taking her to crazy speeds!

Actually he's almost out of gas!! I hope that there is a station nearby or that damn annoying reserve light is going to pop up on the HUD or worse yet "31 mile range" that you cant shut off!!

Yes doing 16 300kmh runs is bad for fuel consumption, but anywhere on the Autobahn fuel is never further way than 25 miles.

Did you notice?

You can actually see the gas gauge going down!

As a kid, my dad had a '68 Olds with a 454 Rocket V-8. Put your foot on the floor with all 4 barrels open and you could watch the gas gauge drop on that also.

I haven't seen that happen in a long time.

Thanks.
