Last Night's Dyno Runs!

My first ever dyno run ever....

The night didn't end too well for me, and I'm not quite sure of the numbers I pumped out were good or bad. Anyways... here's the dyno sheet from my first run.

Unfortunately, at about 7800rpm on my first run, the check engine light came on and my car went into limp mode so my 2nd run was a total waste of time.

If the limp mode hadn't kicked in, I think I would have gotten a better number on my first run.

I have everything installed except for following:

1. Miesterchaft Section 1
2. ECU Software Remap
3. BMC filters

Let me know what you guys think.. dyno run attached!

Hey CoB, hope you get this figured out soon. I would guess a tune is in your very near future. Good luck pal.

To me that looks like some very good numbers! Those are rear wheel HP which means the normally measured HP at the crank directly from the engine is a bit higher.

I just love the shape of that torque and power curve, the S85 is a masterpiece!

That can't be right. Typos on the numbers?

at the bottom of the dyno sheet is says 438whp a 328wtq.

I think that's okay.... your torque isnt too lively.

Yeah... I'm running stock ECU tune.

By looking at the dyno result, how much more power can I get by remapping my ECU?

A lot.. You can do as many bolton's as you want, but without a proper tune, you'll be getting nowhere. I'd advise in getting a ECU tune, and you'll see what kind of power levels you can bring out. At least 40whp More! It's also safer, and better on your gas mileage.

He has pretty much all the bolt-ons available for the E60 M5 already and no software tune can give this car 40whp. More like 15-20 on the high end and that would be at the crank. But you're right that an ECU tune can optimize all the other mods he has.

LOL 40hp on ECU Tune and then I woke up!! hahaha At most its 5-10hp and just increase drivability as for gas millage its the same or a little worse..

This is from a guy who has tried 4-diff ECU tunes and over 130-dyno pulls!
