clutch and warranty UK only

Hi guys

I have searched but as you can imagine searching for clutch UK brings up an awful lot of threads and anyway answer dont mention extended warranty so I thought I would ask

Bought the car two weeks ago (35k 2006 model) and I am feeling the clutch vibrate slightly when pulling away. I test drove another but didn't notice this. I bought the car privately from the previous owner so the warranty should transfer. I'm just waiting for the docs. The warranty is an approved used one. I see from the paperwork that he bought the car used from a dealer in April this year so the warranty is a one year auc one. My question is will the clutch be covered under the warranty, I'm assuming it's a worn clutch by the way.

Yes I have done the reset. Have read many many threads on the clutch and all the symptoms lead to this.

I live on the isle of lewis so the nearest dealer is a three hour ferry and 60 mile drive for me so I cant erxactly drop in. I have a vehicle check and spark plug change coming in 1700 miles so hoped to get the clutch done then

Thanks

Finnie

Sounds like your clutch is on the way out. There is one other possiblity and thats the rear diff, does it do it when pulling out of a junction with a lot of lock on or all the time?? If its with lock on that could be the diff. Changing the diff oil and additive sometimes sorts this.

Is your warranty with BMW (Mondial) or is it something like warrantydirect or AA? (Hope NOT!!!!)

If its BMW they should cover it, my was done at 40000 miles including flywheel no problems, no questions.

Regards

Jay
