Pretty surreal post to us people in the UK that don't get to play with guns other than the airsoft variety! We have far too much road rage here to be alloowed guns. Sh*t even having a knife is a 2 year prison sentance.

What I REALLY want to see is some sort of gun/missle that fires out the front of the car and homes in on caravans and motorhomes. I'm happy to accept an extra few hundred KG weight in exchange for such violence

I thought everyone in US owns a gun? I'm sure I saw some statistic that says there are more guns than people there? Don;t get me wrong, I have no problem with it! I visit Texas often, they even have machine guns there, damn good fun!

Its really tough to own any "cool" guns in CA so elsewhere gets all the fun toys. We are stuck with low capacity mags, etc.

Great thread and good ideas. I keep a Ruger LCP in a calf holster (now that I live in a free state -not California- and can get a CCW) but having a larger piece mounted in the car would be much more practical. After playing with my Berretta .40 it seems to me that a transmission tunnel mount on either the driver or passenger side would work well and not get in the way. I imagine a holster could be permanently affixed with nylon straps and metal screws, and if you wanted to get fancy you could cover it with black carpet, leaving the top open.

Here is some eye candy for the cause.
