How much are you guys paying to install springs?(So Cal)

I've had my eibach springs laying around and finally getting around to installing them.

I'm in the torrance area (So. Cal) and looking for a shop to install them and want to know what the going rate people are paying to get them installed is.

Thanks for the help.

VIP Status in Torrance is a good place to go (VIP Status, 19148 Van Ness Ave, Torrance CA 90501. Email: sales@vipstatususa.com, Tel#: 310-618-8886, Fax#: 310-618-8848)

AutoTalent in West LA is great (Auto Talent)

and it's kinda far, but RennSpec too (RENN Spec | Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche Performance Parts and Accessories)

DON'T go to EF1.

really? damn. I haven't used them for anything but wheel repair, but I've heard really good things about them in every other department. how much were they charging you if you don't mind me asking.

I haven't done anything to my M5 yet, but I've used the other places successfully.

I do know that all the Dinan Dealers (that I've called in So Cal) wanted full labor rates of about 120-160 per hour for NINE hours to install the Dinan Springs. now that's some b.s.

They originally told me $100 to install them and $80 for the alignment. Now they want upwards of $300 for everything.

Not that I mind, but when a company changes their numbers overnight on me, I don't do business with them. It just goes to show that they don't know wtf their telling their customers and they're definitely not working on my 100k car.

And as far as Status Auto Design that was down on PCH, I've heard several complaints about them, so I was kinda of skeptical once I found out they were the same company.

That sounds pretty reasonable to me, but have you alignment done at the dealer. I'm told the alignment for the M5 is finicky and the dealer actually weighs the car down in some sort of special way. They charge me $120 for alignment.

Dealer won't align my car because their system doesnt accept aftermarket wheels and I dont have my stocks handy.

If you can get them done for 300 bucks and they do decent work - DO IT.

My local shops wanted 9 hours @85 plus alignment. I ended up paying around 700.
It's not as simple to do as it used to be...and requires some extra work in the back deck.

I would be concerned about having someone that isn't really meticulous do it for the first time.

I get the impression that it really will take around 5 hours to do it right.

300 is a steal

Don't know if they've ever done an M5 before(Vip that is).

I called EuroRev and they want 200 for the install.

What extra work is required in the back deck?

Damn. Sounds like a great deal. Eurorev might just be able to pump these out quickly... 200? that's a steal.
Wish I was closer to Cali - I'd imagine the deals are much better there considering the number of BMW's and BMW shops.

I think they had to remove at least part of the rear deck / wheel wells to get to the rear springs. Was a first time install for this shop - so it's probably quicker for places like Eurorev.
