E60 M5 vs. 600cc bikes...your thoughts?

Always see the riceroni rockets cruising around the highways here and was wondering if our cars (stock) had a shot against one from a run like a 60 roll.

I'm sure the 1000cc+ bikes are out of this league and into Murcielago+ territory, but I haven't really a clue about these guys so I'm asking you.

Any input?

I raced a 600cc and a 750cc gxr Everytime I started under 60-70mph I got blown away and it was a catch up race but starting after 60-70mph, it was even until I reached higher speeds over 100mph then it was bye bye and he no catchy me no no, lol. I also had a passenger with me also that weighs over 240lbs and he was amazed how the beast flew at high speeds compared to the bike. Dont bother racing unless you are past 70mph and when its safe of course. Mind you that there are some rockets out there with mods so be careful. GL

Against a 600, at 60 no chance. Above 100 easy against a 600. You'd be suprised how much fun bikes can be to play with on a good open motorway! I get WAY more "actions" from bikes than cars on the motorway! I find it a great challenge, even a decent 1000 can only do 180mph, we can cruise past that but more importantly we can go through the corners of a motorway at 160,170,180 they can't! I find I can pass them in corners in excess of 180 and they can breeze past me on the straights below 150. Some of the best fun I've had has been against bikes. AND most bike riders are very polite and love the challenge also.

But at 60mph, no chance really. Needs to be in excess of 100 to kick some but

Down low my tuned 335i was a torque monster and could do reasonably well against the 600's, but up top it slowed down a lot.

Now that I have the M5, I've been keeping an eye out for bikes....but until I have my V1 hardwire installed and laser jammers....I am not making any plans to go 'bike hunting' just yet.

A lot will depend on the rider as well. On a closed course, I once edged out a newer liter bike in my stock 2002 Z06. Obviously, it should have massacred me.

With that said, I think the M5 would fare well against a 600 from a highway roll.

A year ago, I ran a road bike (not a racer) from a light. Wasn't sure how big his engine was, but it had decent size to it. He had about half a car length on me up to about 80mph, then it was bye-bye and he became a dot in my rear view mirror.
I don't think many people would be willing to run their bike much over 120mph, unless they're pretty experienced (or stupid)...

I've taken my bike up to 180 and raced cars up to that speed MANY times. My name is Enes and I am both experienced and stupid.
