It's better to use a "seasoned" block than a new one, especially when you are stroking, changing pistons ect. In my 1700+ hp Supra, I always use season blocks when we freshen up the motor.

When I started reading this thread I thought, "I wonder if this guy is who I think he is?" Then you mention the Supra and confirm it. I don't think I've ever met you in person but I know I've talked to you on the phone way back in the day. Glad to see you still have the Supra and that you've got it that powerful. I still remember the first time I drove the black GReddy car our shop owned that was 614 at the wheels! I need to catch up with you sometime when I'm in Austin.

it's difficult to get accurate dyno results lately in central TX since it's been 100+ everyday for several months, once conditions improve i'm sure numbers will surface
