Has everybody here got their core charges back for the engine and throttle bodies?
Not referrable to the stroker but the core charge issue was a sore subject with me in the past.

It was my understanding that the core "credit/charge" was built in to the initial price. If you kept the core or TB's then the price would be higher, because they wouldn't have exchange parts.

Unfortunately temperatures has been 100+ so we can expect to add some drama to my experience.
The power band is linear yet it comes on earlier and it just pulls all the way to redline. 1st and 2nd gear is just ridiculous because there is just no traction. Blew away my friends M6 who is now having nightmares and has already ordered the full S3 package. Torque is readily available so the need to downshift has been dramatically reduced. Gear shifts are actually smoother. I guess the billet crank "mates" better with the SMG

I returned my core and TB's to DINAN already, they have it. Did you get your money back yet?
I love my car, it's been 102+ for the whole month of July, but it still blows the tires everytime I hit it. I haven't been driving it much, I got my Challenger back after getting the 440ci stroker motor in it and trying to break it in..

They sent my engine and TB's back also. I was told that if you wanted to keep your engine and TB's that the initial price would be higher (~10-20,000), because Dinan was not getting a core that they could turn around and stroke thus making a profit off the old engine. I was never told I would get any money back once they received my engine. Now, I am trying to sell the old stock exhaust and air assemblies that didn't go back to Dinan. Did they tell you they would be returning money to you once they received your engine back?

I did pay the higher price (including core charge) They received my engine 4 weeks ago!

Dinan just shipped mine last Friday. Waiting for it to arrive for the install.
