LOL. So by that you mean it has some traction in second as compared to blowing through the entire thing with wheelspin?

SW,

I might have missed it, but have you added the ASR exhaust to your car?? Curious to see what your opinion is of the exhaust and if you find the around town exhaust note acceptable. Thanks.
I have been waiting for it to show up all week.. it's supposed to be here today. I will report back after the install..

Yes, it hooks up a better in hot weather. I have another project that I am thinking about doing with another car that should be really fast also. I will fill you guys in as soon as I find the car I want..

I see this thread has been bumped down to the next page, so I'll add that I spoke with the folks at Dinan today and confirmed they have just started on mine using M6SCSMD's block (per my request). They must have sold quite a few recently, as four cores are arriving at about the same time.

Who ever gets SW's and Cody's cores are lucky to have new engines, both had very low mileage and were broken I'm right

That was nice to be able to specify your core.

I might have gotten SW's, but I am not positive. Rick is getting an engine that only had 2400 miles on it. I was very good to that engine!

I was in for my ~600 mile oil change. I can now slowly increase the max RPM's as stated previously in this thread. The car is a blast to drive even when shifting <6000 RPM. Can't wait to get the full effect. I am only 400 miles away from the 1200 mile break in. I need to keep .

I also test drove an M3 coupe (had no vert), because I am looking for a convertible for my lovely wife. I have to say I was a bit disappointed. The new clutch is very quick to shift and has NO lag, but the car seemed to lack any guts. Maybe I am spoiled by the M6 or didn't drive it long enough. The M3 was quick and agile, but the engine felt a bit "hollow" and didn't have that roaring grumble. Maybe some after market mods would help, but it was not what I was expecting. After driving it I am sure my wife could handle the M3 convertible. Also looked at the regular 3 convertible and the 1 convertible, but didn't have time to drive them. I will let her choose (with some gentle guidance) after she drives them all. I think the M3 would be a good fit, and I could tolerate driving it on occasion.

Does it matter how new or old the block is (I can see if it has like 60,000 miles on it) but they bore out cylinders anyway so it's a fresh surface regardless, no?

What am I missing?

(Sorry if I sound like an idiot...)
