Thanks 6pack and tee. Actually 6pack the M5 is coming from Chicago.
With the SS headers and ASR intakes coming off the M5 with the TT build I had to do something. Sell them for peanuts or get an M to transfer the parts and use as a DD.
I am sure many had seen this M5 and I can't believe nobody moved on this car.
Anyway the GT3RS was not a real DD. The track prep and mods made it too much. Very loud and the Carrera Cup suspension is a brick and you'll pass a kidney stone.

I had thought about a 550i as a DD for work but no fukin way. When you have the M5/M6 fever you can not step down.

It occurs to me that I've distracted the thread. So please accept my apology. I will shut the fuk up. Sorry

Cheers
Ranger

Sorry again but I must respond to my friend Rick.
Rick it is a gorgeous black M5.
I will now have the ying yang of M5's. Maybe I can now get the inner peace I've never had after getting fuked up years ago.

Rick we've met and I can tell you are a genuinely good man.
Best of luck with the Dinan stroker decision.

Best regards

Juan

Just picked up a sweet M5 for a DD to spare the TT when it's done.
The deal was just done a few hours ago.
Sweet killer deal on an awesome M5. This car will be transported from out of state.
Will post a thread and pics on arrival.

Cheers

You, sir, are an absolute animal. Congratulations on the new ride.

Congrats on the new M5 Ranger. I can see why you wouldn't want to drive a track car as a DD. What mods you have to the GT3RS, besides the Carrera Cup suspension?

MMac please understand that it would be digressing from the thread.
On a future date I may lay out the GT3RS project but certainly on Porsche forums.

Cheers

I can't speak for the M6 but the suspension has transformed my car. It is pretty impressive. The handling has improved in all respects, reduced roll, understeer has improved tremendously, the rear of the car just follows. The transfer between powering on the rear wheels and braking is much more responsive and balanced. Steering response is unreal, it makes counter steering so much more fun to do. The monoballs are not for everyone, it literally links the whole front suspension into one tight unit and acts like a tuning fork. So hard bumps will resonate into the interior. My advice is stage 2 if you want to retain the comfort. Stage 3, if you want to be "one" with the beast

Would have to agree, the elastiokinematic suspension design has always been there to improve comfort for the driver by absorbing road harshness. Comfort is inversely proportional to performance in most cases, this being one

From all that I have read on the boards, I will probably go with the Stage 2 suspension. Firmer, but not too firm. I also doubt I will track the car.
