Ha ha thanks, I love my "pig" M5, much better looking than the M6..
On that note, I do like the lines of the M6 convertable though. I was trying to talk my wife into a M6 convertable and giving her M5 to our daughter. Eventhough she drives a chipped 335ci, the M5 might be too much for her right now.
I have 505 miles on the motor as of today, the oil will be changed tomorrow and I am going to start running it harder.

I do tend to agree with you on the M6 convertible......
Man I don't know if I would have enough restraint to take it easy on a car like this during break-in. I would probably tell Dinan to keep it an extra week or two and break it in for me. hahaha
I'm surprised it doesn't have HRE wheels on there.
agreed, I always expect to see HREs on anything associated with SW and for it to sit too low for my lift arms to access it. i'm sure she enjoys it even with stock kit
Ok guys, broke it in over the weekend. I took it to BMW this morning and Floyd, my Tech, changed the oil and then he reset the ECU parameters. I drove it 3 miles to the Tollway, in Mexico, and ran it up to 198mph, until I saw traffic, on it's first full throttle pass, did the turnaround and did 201 on the way back until I saw traffic. I made sure there were no other cars around me on the 4 lane Tollway. As I slowed down, I felt the steering wheel start shaking. I drove it back to my office and put it up on a lift to check everything out. It was about 95+ degrees when I was making my runs and I thought I may have blistered a tire. As I was checking my wheels/tires I found that on the left front, the wheel sensor has come loose and was flopping around inside the wheel. On the HREs that I run, there is a tire valve in the middle of the rim barrel and next to it is another fitting that holds the TPM sensor. After we dismounted the tire, it looked like the clamp broke, maybe from the heat and high speed. I had to order another new clamp from HRE, so I didn't get to drive it home..
Driving impressions, in town drving is great, smooth, more torque so it takes less effort just to cruise. Low end power is good, I did expect a little more but after you hit about 4500, game over. It never quits pulling, never. You guys know I have alot of high hp cars, but I am extremely impressed and happy with my decision to purchase the Dinan package. I'm sure some of the NOS cars and the TT project that ASR is building should be faster, but there is nothing like the sound and feel of a normally asperated V10 stroker. I f...... love this car! I think even when BMW comes out with the new M5 twin-turbo, I will keep this car and get the new one. I am sure after a few more miles on it, it will only get better and when it cools off here, it will be more of a beast. I was talking with Steve Dinan today and he has one more idea for me, I will let you guys know if it works. As soon as I get a chance, I will get some in car videos and may hook up with Darren and get some runs in Mexico..
