I have been looking to upgrading the in my eyes great performing but a bit boring looking brakes.
I could off coarse paint them but I want to upgrade them too.
So I have been wondering what are the options?
I have seen brembo brakes but never know where to get them and how much they will set me back. Other suggestions would be welcome to.
Last question could you only go with the callipers instead of the discs+callipers.
I did a quick search on brembo brakes but didn't find the info I wanted.
And no, you have to go with full calipers + disc setup. The reason is that the Brembo GT setup utilizes a smaller surface area than the stock rotors. I'm sure you noticed that not only are the stock rotors large in diameter, but they are HUGE in surface area as well. The Brembo rotors are pretty large in diameter but the surface area is far less than stock.
THey are the master distributors for brembo in the states. Call Danni @ 714.438.1118 ext 115. You can spend anywhere from 3 to 15K for a set of brakes.
If you are in L.A., you can try Lucent Motors. I know they are an authorized brembo dealer. 310.231.3328. Ask for Tom.

If you are looking for a serious brake upgrade, I recommend a set of Brembos. They are a complete caliper and rotor replacement that will really transform the braking on your car. Drop me a PM or email and I can help you with pricing and information on the kit. We have a full setup on our E92 335 and it is absolutely phenomenal.
