smg clutch smell

hello guys,by wrong use of launch control at my m5 e60 the clutch smelt very bad.It smell for a lot of days.It stopped but when i pressured it at a difficult exit from parking it smelt again for a little of time.I have had a set up from dealer service.From then i have done 3.000 km with no(smell) promblem.I want to ask you if you believe that if i should replace the clutch because it smelt.The car has about 40.000 km at all.thank you!

Yep... It might not be from just using LC it can be from overheating in stop and go traffic, the way you drive. I had the same problem and i wasnt using LC I was power breaking the car at a light. The smell is terrible and definatley needs to be replaced.

How does the clutch smell anyway? Sometimes when I hit redline on gears 1 2 and 3 I smell something weird.

sounds like you may have been braking at the same time as accellerating (power brake) that would cause the clutch frying smell IMO that day and a few days to come.
