I am not looking for buy a used M5, mostly because the only reason I want a new M5 is the new iDrive system. Also I simply like driving newer cars. I have not driven the GTR because I hate going to Nissan dealerships and dealing with the super high pressure sales people, yeah I know, I should get over it. Maybe I will just wait a bit for now and see what other interesting cars might come out this summer, the Panamera maybe? I must say the choices are pretty scarce, if only the RS6 was here to keep me going till the all new M5 comes out in a few years. Thanks for the info..
I would love to get the new idrive, amazing. Best of luck in 2010 model.

Current payments are $1570, from the understanding lease deals are not as sweet as they used to be back in 08 because BMW and many other makers have slashed residual values on their cars thus making them more expensive to lease. I believe they are trying to get more people to buy cars instead of leasing.
The Prius is the wildcard, something of an FU i dont care anymore kind of car, if I felt that way.
Thats total BS. You can get into a new M5 nowadays for much cheaper. I am paying $1280 per motnh with drive off and a 30 month lease. Sticker on my car was $99,800 with every single option.
Ask the car dealer how many cars he has leased or sold in this last 6 months and after he realizes that you know he is full of SH*T ask him again how much he can get you into a new M5 for.

That's a good payment, what year model are you driving? I will be sure to ask them the what have you sold in the last 6 months thing. I did post on here a while back asking if anyone had BMWs moneyfactor rate and residual percentages for 2010 model M5s but got no responses. Having this info always preparers me intellegently nego with the dealer, right now its somewhat of a crap shot not knowing these numbers.

Did you replace your 07 or are you comparing pricing on an 07 6 speed with pricing on a 2010 SMG?

Damn you US guys are lucky... $1280 a month!! That's cheap. I am kind of happy that yours are after all just "almost M5s" fitted with cribbled launch control and MPH in the display

Still in my heart but not in my garage
2000 - BMW M5 E39, Carbonblack, Silverstone leather, the lots, performance standard
2006 - BMW 550i, Saphireblack, beige leather, the lots, should have bought the M5 in the first place
2006 - BMW M5 E60, Silverstone II, black leather, the lots, performance standard
In my garage
2007 - Aston Martin Vantage V8
2009 - Audi A4 3.0 TDI quattro Avant
2008 - VW Golf GTI
I spoke to Phillppe Kahn at South Bay BMW in LA and i asked him about deals on 2009 M5's vs. 2010 M5's and here's his response:
In late 2008/early 2009 we were offering steep discounts and incented leases on the 2008 M5s, and right now we’re doing the same for our remaining 2009 inventory. In both cases we were working on end-of-model-year specials. What you want now is the first-of-the-model-year, and I can’t get that car to fit within your financial goals. Presently, the 2010 M5 I referenced would lease for about $1150 a month + tax, assuming previous BMWFS experience, a $5k cap reduction and 10,000 miles per year.
If you’re looking to save money I can offer 2 alternatives:
