Hi.
On friday i got my car back from a place that changed the treble speakers in front, added a subwoofer and an amplifier. I have a touring, so they installed the sub into the empty compartment on the left side of the trunk. The amplifier was also installed in the trunk "under the floor" (where the tire repairing kit etc is located).
Anyway, today as i was driving home from my gf's summer place i hear that the subwoofer is making a strange distortion kind of sound. Even when i turn off the engine and power of the car the sound continues for a while. So, i continue and check the amp, and it's hot as hell, probably the reason for the noise from the sub + overall bad sound performance throughout the car.
Does anyone (preferably touring owners) have any experience of this sort? Did the guys at the shop where they did this not take into account a heavy load of stuff that might reduce the airflow (if there is any even without all the stuff on top of the lid). I mean, if i wanted pure sportiness i would've chosen a sedan (saloon, whatever you wanna call it) instead of the touring, but i need trunk space.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this
Please help...
PS. they did not warn me that this kind of bs could happen
