Honestly, it's not even close for the 430 all the way.

As a side note, my M6 also walks away from my buddies stock M5. 3 car lengths to 100mph.

So, I watched the video, and something must be broke.
Stock M6 vs stock M5 isnīt such a big difference to 100 mph, maybe up to 150-160 mph.

Hey guys:

I'm not looking to offend anyone, so I'll rspond to you skeptisim.
  • First, my son is 28 years old and has been driving high performance cars for many years. As a matter of fact, we've attended several driving schools together and he drives both my cars all the time.
  • Second, my Vert is heavier than a coupe and a little heavier than an M5 which is greatly offset by the aerodynamics of the M6 and the 3.91 rear end. My M6 is faster than any M5 I've raced.
  • Lastlly, I'm not one to care one way or the other which car is faster concidering I own both, so...why would guys doubt my word. It is what it is, based on what I've experienced.
Again, I'm in the unique posiyion of owning both and thought I could share some totally unbiased observations for everyone who may be interested.

At the end of the day, I realy don't reallly care which car is faster. I love them both, and as I've posted before, if I could only have one, it would be the M6.

Nobody said anything else, this is fact:

YouTube - BMW M5 vs BMW M6

Stock M6 vs stock M5, Gustav did this race and as you can see, there isnīt such a big difference, especially not up to 100 mph.

As I said before, this is about 2-3 carlengths from 30-160 mph.

I may be in the minority, but I believe the results both of the OP's video and those of cpiguy's. Different cars (slight factory variations in power), ambient conditions, starting speeds (different power bands, etc.), drivers, mileage, break-ins, tires, buttons pushed, etc., etc., could cause the somewhat variable results we have seen over the years in some races between the F430 and M5/6. Bottom line--both are brilliant cars which on occasion can give each other a reasonable challenge.

I raced an F430 before (my bro in law's). Frankly, the M5 has no chance. That thing is a monster!

Too bad didn't have my camera with me.
