Even a google search didn't yield anything.

However, that sure is one fast lap for 4000+ lbs.

As a naturally aspirated product this motor is highly tweeked and high strung. This makes it a fun motor to drive. At redline the characterictics of this motor are so intoxicating.

So lets compare a 5.0L V10 vs. a 3.6L flat six. Is this fair?
No matter it is good competition.
My GT3 makes 128 hp/L. Not bad for a naturally aspirated engine.
Just as incidental info the Dinan stroker is approx. 110 hp/L.

What would happen ? It is a fun thought . Please do not mention the video game.

He did state his point.

How much "HP" is gained/lossed from 3031+ lbs @ 415hp to 4034+ lbs @ 500hp?

Its not. A bone stock GT3RS 997 is a bit faster than a stock Mercedes E55 AMG. And a E55 AMG is significantly slower than the M5 at higher speeds.

The M6 had a passenger which basically negated the mod advantage. I'll see if I can dig them up but with a good driver a stock M5 is not easily faster than a GT3 with some extra fast (but not power shifting) shifting, that I can promise you.

I honestly think the GT3 is between the M5 and M6 at least up to about 140-150 mph.

Gustav, that video shows the 7GT3RS putting about 3 car lengths on the E55AMG.

Yup. Ill edit my post above

But an M5 is faster than the E55so yes and M5 would be able to fend off a GT3 RS and I beleive the igher the speed the better the chance the M5 has.

M V10 that was a great list of the top lap times on "the ring".
One thing though, I thought the Dodge Viper ACR ran one of the fastest lap time? I do not see it even on the list?

Gustav the video of the 7GT3RS and the E55 AMG was a surprising outcome. I mean it was not even close. There is a big torque difference between these cars, approx. 200 lb/ft. Yet the RS pulls very hard in comparison.

It´s not odd, different drivers, that´s it. I am 110% sure I wrote that BMW:s TESTdrivers did the lap, rumors say it was Hans Stuck.

M5Ranger: The list is not uppdated yet, that´s why some cars are missing.

Our airfield events are completely safe based on years of experience, we conduct them during clear visibility with mature participants that have several years of experience with high-performance automobiles, large unobstructed run-off zones on sealed off private former military airbases and we clearly mark the braking zones. If inexperienced with high speed driving we do not recommend organizing your own event but attending a high-performance driving school.
