BL this has nothing to do with belief.
This is factual.
Not a single of the snake oil salesmen in Washington, especially the dems. will give you a straight answer on direst questions on this disaster.
Why, because they can not. They not even know what is in it. They have all blindly thrown their hopes on the messiah.
They are all dirty. Explain this to me. A congressman makes $165,000 / year. How is it that when they all leave Washington they are all millionaires?

remember, our last democrat president was IMPEACHED, yet refused to leave office.....Illinois governor, a democrat, also tossed recently for playing dirty pool. Yes, in fairness Cunningham was a bad apple. How is it they spend MILLIONS (both sides) to win a seat that pays 165K a year.....
I come from Denmark, and I see this country going towards that type of government. When the people, majority realize they can VOTE themselves more money, be taking it from the minority.....it is ALL OVER. and it is ALL over.

Although I'm a conservative Republican, I will give President Obama the benefit of the doubt for the first year and see where it goes. I don't see any other choice at this time, and only pray that he is as smart as he came across...

unfortunately intelligence and oratory skills do not make up for poor judgement which our new President has demonstrated at a much greater pace than before he was Pres. I hope I (and Ranger, etc) are wrong but sadly that will not be the case.

I should add that I find our Senate and House reps (for the most part) worse offenders than the new Pres...... Scary times.

shchow I well understand your thoughts. My question is why should we calmly accept what the president and his party are dumping on the US citizens?
We have the right and obligation to oppose all detrimental gov't proposals.
I do not subscribe to the thinking, "well he's the president so give him a pass".
I became upset with a member earlier in this thread because of his gross lack of historical knowledge.
If you make broad comments, you better know history.

Lets hope for the best but sadly we are doomed.
This one is all his shoulders and he will have to take the wrath for its absolute failure.
To the prez, you can't blame Bush buddy!

Wow.. what a world we live in!

Maybe this is the almighty's answer to our greed for money, power and dominance. Countries spending billins on wars, security, politics.. while the less fortunate have had to cope with the results of those acts!

Perhaps we all need a worldwide famine disaster to make us all see the light!

Yet Ranger continues to take it over with his nonsense. If we are all doomed and you have all the answers then why dont you run for president. There is nothing about kool-aid going on here, historically the only thing we know for sure is that George Bush's policies DID NOT work for the betterment of this country.

You may not have elected Obama, but in this country one person does not elect a president, the MAJORITY does. So I hate to pee in your soup, but your countrymen have decided that they would rather have a guy that's more focused on the whole of the nation than just the wealthy. One that wont leave people to die in hurricanes while deploying more troops to die overseas. This list goes on, you surely couldn't think you'd have any chance of noting more positives than negatives about the Bush administration.

But I'm sure you'll find a way to complain no matter what the results are, but for most people, we are glad someone is taking a path to fix something INSIDE OF OUR COUNTRY, instead of pissing off everyone in other countries while the homeland goes to hell in a handbasket.

But since you are only playing antagonist with no real knowledge of what the answer should be since you claim the current path will "doom us all", then your words can be taken with a grain of salt.

But I'm sure if someone disagrees with you long enough, you'll threaten to leave and never come back like you do on every forum.

the president and congress came up because of the recent "stimulus" package to address the slumping economy. It's kinda hard to mention the economy and not mention the president and Senate/House at this time in history.
