I like water ETFs there are a few out there that I think will bring nice returns...as I type this, it sounds so stupid to invest in water...but..
Water indeed is becoming a precious commodity. T. Boone Pickens has been snapping up West TX water rights for some time. Legal questions remain on wholesale purchases of this type. California and Nevada have been arguing water rights for decades. Remember the plot for China Town? Ranchers and farmers since the 1800s.
Question is, what type of companies will profit?
Owners of land areas with large underground supplies? Desalination sector leaders? Recycling companies?
Which water sector EFTs have you been researching? P.M. me if you don't wish to publicly post.

I have businesses in shopping malls and recently I have been seeing more people spending 100 bills. I think that is a good sign. For months it was hard to see a hundred in the register but these days I get at least a few everyday now.
i've been impacted in both directions....i work for a large financial institution (cringe!) but am in charge of environmental investing. in the specific business i work in we've been expanding all through this, hiring and putting more capital to work. really interesting stuff going on in my neck of the financial world. that being said, my income is down very sharply and we've taken some hits to our assets, so no $100 bills coming out of our accounts any time soon!! also no cars on the horizon for me and my e39 m5 is still soldering on....i do my shopping on craigslist now......

Hmm... as a medical examiner for the 4th largest city in the country, I do have some amount of job security. Worse economy = higher crime = more work for me, for better or for worse. But yeah, in general, best of luck to all of you with your respective fields as far as weathering this storm.
