To sell or not to sell. That is the question!
Hi folks.
I joined this forum over a year ago, but this is going to be my first post!
I've had M5 for 18months, and I've only put on 8000 miles on it so far.
Here in Cleveland, it is almost impossible to drive my beast with summer tires on it. I didn't want go through the hassle to put on snow tires on the beast since I have X5 to go around in snowy season.
Recently, I have been searching around to see how much I would receive if I sell my car.. and I was like "wth".
I love the car, but I hate not being able to drive it in winter!
It's 2006 Silverstone with every option on it and have 21k on it right now. (bone stock) I think I would be able to get 50k off of it.
What would you guys do? I don't want to sell the X5 or 330ci since they will only get me 10k-12k max. I would keep the beast if the depreciation would not be as bad as this in the future. I'm also afraid of the fixing cost if warranty expires in 15 months. What would you do???
I hate Cleveland!!! Tooooo much snow!

come on, its not that bad. a crappy econmoy, football team, bad roads, crappy Mayor, TONS OF SNOW.

I live in Cleveland as well, I get to stare at my M5 while I pile in my 1996 Maxima with 190K and freeze my balls off.

ilpyon, You'll probably only get between $40-45k for your car. Asking price is always higher than sell price and similar cars are going for ~$45k on the used car sites.

Good-luck in whatever you decide to do.

Why don't you move to Detroit ? lol

The E60 M5 is a future classic and I decided not to sell mine no matter what.
I too go through a few months of snow and rain = DSC interference quite frequently but I so look forward to spring and summer.
