Minimal changes, new I-Drive is nice but another hit on resale values

Best guess is spring 2010 as the new model F10 although the M version always (or usually) lags for a year or two.

Wow... talk about screwing the 09 owners. I would pissed as hell if I had one of those short run cars. Anyhow we all new BMW was going to include the latest IDrive before they went to the F07. I don't see them releasing the new generation for quite some time. This will bring new buyers to the table and is making me consider an upgrade hehehe...

I guess this is the last of the e60 M5's? Similar to the 07 I guess the 09 only had a 6 month life span.

I really would like to know how painful it would be to retrofit the new iDrive into older cars. I plan on keeping mine awhile and although I've only had it for a few months, the iDrive already feels like its from the DOS era.

2009 is last year production of the M5, so we will be waiting for another 2-3 years for the F10 M5!

at first it bothered me a little after all the press releases stating it would be on the 09.

someone over on the M3 forums is trying to see if you can actually do a retrofit. I belive the cost is coming to $5K with parts and labor.
