Do the 2008 M5's have LED license plate lights?

I know some of the new 3 series do.....but have heard conflicting reports on the M5's from 08-09.

this baffles me. I dont understand that with such a high-end car that every single light isnt LED.

Sure, the e60 is at the end of its product life and was not originally designed for LED lights and BMW did not see the ROR for the ROI. Sounds simple to me.

There is a guy on e60.net who's offering a group-buy of some BMW LED license plate lights with wiring that are plug and play on the e60 for $95... I assume the parts are sourced from another late-model BMW but they apparently work great with his retrofit wiring on the e60. I've ordered a set after being disappointed with errors from a set of LED replacement bulbs I've been using. The improvement in looks makes this a worth-while upgrade in my opinion.
