Driver Side Door Issues

I had my hands full and closed my car door. It popped back at me hard.. Then I noticed when it was 'closed' it wasn't flush with the car.. but the car would lock (ever leave a door, hood, trunk open the car will not lock).

I closed it three more times, how I always close it, and it wasn't flush with the car. It was raining.. I didn't want to leave it like that, so I slammed it hard and it became flush with the car again.

Any ideas? I have the soft-close door option.. could it be messed up causing my door to improperly shut?
