It is not all Dinan research at all. I would have my money on that it came from the same place that did the RD Tornado and the Hartge V8's.

I suspect the advantage of the high flow primary cats is being emissions compliant, not having a check engine light, and not needing software to disable it.
Thats exactly the setup wich i got from Noelle. 2 pipes welded to the stock headers to delete the first cats, second cats replaced with sport cats and ECU remap..

I am running this witch stock section 2 and 3.... All i can say is... "M" azing Stock M5s are rally "slow" against mine... Tried it alot of times against friends..

The car pulls amazing, especially in high rev.. I really got another kick after 6000 rpm. Before i got Eisenmann Race Cans and after i changed back to stock i felt a real gain in Power.. Even my Mechanic who knows the car from A-Z and who fixed the upgrade said that its unbelievable how much power has been lost through the Eisenmann Race Cans... And by the way.. The Eisenamann Race cans were just redicilously loud with this setup.. Absolutely NOT daily driveable.. So no i am thinking about Tubi or something.. BUT i defianely DONT want to exchange sound against power again...

The sound now with stock section 2 and 3 is different to stock.. its much louder and if you floor the pedal you really hear the sound, produced from the headers and cats.. actually under the car

Peopel who hear the car are always saying... This soesent souds like Exhaust sound, this sounds like power... LOOOOL

Now i am still selling the Eisenmann Race cans.. If anybody interested.. PM PLEASE!!!

I really can recommend this setup...

That was just my "50 cent"

I have a similar setup and IMHO it is one of the most practical solutions to the power-robbing OEM primary cats. The fact that this is emissions legal and there is no check engine light allows one to use software from companies that don't disable the light (in my case, Dinan) and not have to worry about switching out aftermarket headers when it comes time to have emissions checked.

Simon, care to describe in more details the power felt after changing back to stock mufflers. Better low end torque? better mid-range acceleration? etc??? I'm curious because i have similar exhaust setup as you I definitely interested in changing my E-race back to stock muffler if there is an improvement in power. My current setup is too loud for me too
