My understanding is that the stock system must be cut to install this (or any) exhaust. Is that correct? I assume a precise location is given in the instruction so that everything lines up perfectly?
well.. you have to cut if you're doing the cans only... but if you're going to do all sections (1,2 and 3) like the ASR exhaust or the AA exhaust then its all bolt on... if you ask me I would do either of those two exhaust system because for all 3 sections they costs around the same as just one section of the others... sounds and power is so much better also.

I have heard back from a number of people and they say the tiny opening in the Corsa exhausts that keeps it from having the drone also results in a loss of whp. Several dynos later there is a 5-10 whp loss.
I love the sound and no drown, but the whp loss is a deal breaker for me.
Do the folks from RPI have an independant dyno of this Corsa exhaust that shows no loss, and perhaps a gain for stage 3 alone? I know they did a dyno of this exhaust before and it showed a loss.

No, we do not.
However, if anyone would like to get their Corsa exhaust dyno'd before/after at our location, we'd be happy to do it "open house" style, so everyone can witness with their own eyes our testing procedure and confirm no settings are changed pre/post.
Sorry for the delayed reply, I've been traveling and am behind on e-mail.
Yes, our system the rear section and does require cutting. Our system is tuned specifically to work as provided, in fact we do not recommend removing the resonator at all.
Adding interior cabin drone or making it sound too "racerboy" from the outside is not really in character for these cars.
Regarding power loss: THERE IS NONE. We show a significant gain as in the dyno graph I posted above.
Frankly, this is why message boards often hurt the people looking for information... when one little piece of misinformation keeps floating around, confusing our fellow enthusiasts.
Anecdotal dyno results we've seen that do not match our results are oddballs, and quite frankly, as I've seen our results performed firsthand, puts those oddball testers in a very suspicious category for me... whether there is something wrong with how they test or other motivations, I cannot say.
You mention that you have independant results to verify your claims. Given the nature of the posts with respect to the M5 Corsa Exhaust would you care to share those with the group. The RPi test in this post seems to indicate a loss. Corsa exhaust Update?
