I just got back from Cross Automotive in Oakville, Ontario. By the way Sam is a class act. I would highly recommend Cross Auto to all.

They uploaded the Dinan stage 1 engine software as well as fixed my wheel wobble by adding hub centric to all 4 wheels.

All is well.

I would like to thank all those who pitched in your two cents.

You can always count on the fellow M enthusiast's on this forum to help solve problems.

The software in combination with the M sprint booster is awesome

The ECM still has to learn my driving style. I'm told as it does the performace gets better.

If you are interested to check it out, let me know. You can take her for a run.

UFH, I have a mild shake or shudder in the steering wheel only while braking.

I dismissed the bent rotor as I could not imagine how it would have gotten bent (but really this seems most logical).

I was leaning toward an untrue wheel. I have notice this since having HRE 890R's installed and was suspecting that one of the wheels may be out of wack even though it balanced as my shop told me one took a lot of weights and was kind of wobbling on the balancing machine and then backed off on the wobbling comment.

So, do you think I can eliminate the wheel(s) as the culprit if I ONLY get this shudder under braking?

I did have suspension work done (KW coilovers & Dinan sway bars) I suppose one of the rotors could have gotten bent during the install of the KW's or should I still suspect the wheel as well. I was going to have the wheels road forced balanced. The shop was supposed to have done this, but I think they might have skipped it.

The only way I can think to check the rotors is to spin the wheel off the ground and see if the brakes seem to grab and let loose while not applied.

I guess I'll start by spinning the wheels to check see if I can detect anything with the rotors and then have the wheels road force balanced. The wheels are fairly new and I am certain HRE would correct any issues. I have been suspecting the right front wheel based on what the shop told me about balancing...

If I need a new rotor I have a much dreaded appointment with the dealer this Saturday for Horns and Oil... I did not want them touching my gloss black HRE wheels though, arghhh. One last thought, could a rotor have warped from hard braking during a recent spirited canyon run. One would hope not....

Thanks for your insight...

As far as the suspected wheel is concerned. They should take off all these weights, deflate the tyre and move the tyre on the rim (they may need two or three people to do this), then rebalance and see if it takes a lot less weight. They should repeat this until they find the least amount of weight required for a perfect balance. If there is something wrong with the rotor, a good mechanic can spot damage in a second, because they must have overheated.

I got my own answer thank you very much! Stock E60 wheels have no hubcentric rings.
