This RS6 (on stock 20") also raced a tuned M5 sedan on 19" with Dinan exhaust + ECU and won.
Yes, the understanding is correct! I drove against that same M5 and the difference was about 1 carlength 50-270 km/h, but as I mentioned before my car hit the limiter for about 4-5 seconds before the end.
The M5 was behind the RS6 by approx 2 carlengths and started to level out the gap when we reached 240 km/h, and I was just slightly catching up from 240-270 km/h and then hit the limiter.
I don´t know how the RS6 will performe in the heat, maybe in the summer it will be slower but in this cold wether and for every day driving, the RS6 was and is faster to 240 km/h!
If it was a race 50-300 km/h the M5 would have won but this day and this race, the RS6 was faster, no doubt about it.
The M5 is not running stock wheels that could affect acceleration. The RS6 comes with 20" wheels stock.
Seriously...can an M ever just be the slower car???... I guess you have selective vision and missed the post debunking your factually impaired editorial...

However the fact is that the RS6 was stock and the M5 was not, possibly affecting it's performance. Also, starting in 1st gear wasn't optimal and Ill ty to upload a race where we started from 1st gear.

i have a 2008 M5, alpine white, with 20"inch Hartge Classic 2 rims, in black with red outeline... and all, exterior and interior are carbon made by CA Automotive in UK...
I´m an experienced trackday and race driver... Racing 4 hours Endurance race in a Ferrari 360 Challenge...
I was hired one day at the track to drive around with people, in their cars, and one came to me, this is about 45 days ago, and asked if i would try his RS6, Brandnew... on the track, i can say, it is VERY,VERY heavy in corners, and quick on straights, but a fine compromis between a racecar or a family car it will never be like the M5, which is much more fun on a track, than the RS6 is, The Audi is a very fast familiar luxus car, but forget it on a track... its not even fun...
And i raced an RS6, in my Corvette Z06, and the Audi couldnt follow, AT ALL...
I also have a 135 I, with 270 hp, and 530 NM, and a RS 6 killer, in my BMW 323 TI, with 3,2 M3 engine and a GT35 turbo, 470 HP, and 550 nm from 2500 to 7500 rpm´s to 1250 KG... it can keep up with the corvettet from a rolling start... funny litlle thing...
well, why dont you run against an mtm rs6, and did you ever think of the fact that the rs6 wieghs a ton, but runs like hell

You seem to be the only one not understanding.
The RS6 is on 19" stock. 20" is an option.
The was also a run with the same RS6 (still on optional 20") vs. a BMW M5 with 19" (just like you asked for), plus it had Dinan exhaust + ECU.
Unfortunately, as you can see from other eye witnesses who wrote in this thread, that BMW M5 also lost. But you could always blame it on Dinan.
Note: Depending on market, either 19" or 20" is stock/option on the RS6.
In Germany, 19" is stock. In the UK/Sweden 20" is stock according to the Audi websites, just checked.

Thank you.
