I dont think we can outrun RS6 V10TT easily, it was just too fast, It can't be beat unless you're in and out the corner, AUDI's Q 4WD system always understeer, that's when and where you jump in, However, back to the strait line, it will just pull away...

Why: your fighting the rs6 at his best level. from the low revs the rs6 had more torque. also if you would do it from a standing start it would be harder for the rs6. due to his quattro system and weight it would have a much harder time to beat the M5.
But i will admit its a very fast car
Are you joking? Having had the older RS6 and other high powered AWD vehicles...you don't want to mess with them from a dig (standing start) unless you have enough ground to make it up on the top end. Believe me, if it has enough power to build a lead up to 140mph...then it would have only added to the RS6's margin of victory from a dig.

Also for those complaining about 20" rims...come on.. that wasn't going to make a 10lbs extra isn't going to make a difference. What would make a difference is the couple of hundred pounds of added weight the avant has over the sedan. As others have said let's give Audi some credit. It only provides incentive for all the manufacturers to bring out more powerful and higher performing products in the future.

I'm 100% with you, if you try to race an Audi in the rain,
You will feel and know what the difference...

Hi T Bone

Remember this?

Place your bets - RS6 or M5 faster in Sport Autos upcoming test?

Still, very nice looking. And I feel sorry for the poseur chumps in "sportscars" that are going to get dusted but this thing.

This is your chance.....

Holy crap, I never expected that. I forget what magazine tested the r8 against the rs6 recently (25 secs. to 150 mph vs 23 secs for the rs6). The M5 gets to 150 mph in 20.8 seconds or thereabouts, so I thought it would win. Which goes to show, take what you read in magazines with a pinch of salt.

The sad part is this was against the wagon. Based on this clip, imagine what the sedan is capable of.

I'm staying far away from the rs6, for now that is.

Actually, after thinking about this some more, I'm not entirely convinced. I know how easily a mild tweak on a turbocharged motor can easily net 100 bhp. Mtm's already pushing over 700 bhp on the rs6. If indeed it is stock, that's mighty impressive.

Audi A6 - Autocar.co.uk

This car is really not that fast, look at the 0-100mph times and the 0-150 mph times.

Nah, I'm not buying it

One thing to take into consideration is that the weather was cold: around 5-10 degrees Celsius that benefited the twin turbocharged RS6.

etc. etc.

Yes yes Supra, I won't deny making those comments. My request is for a run for a bone stock M5 vs. a bone stock RS6.

Those 20" wheels will have a material affect on acceleration.

Gustav - can I make this a request for the next run?
