It's funny to read this...Why? Most people say to run the M5 from a roll as standing starts are not the M5's best part to highlight.
Now when it gets beat from a roll, we shout "start from a dig...". Come on folks, let's give a big thumbs up to Audi for finally making a competitive car! Great work RS division.
Of course, I'm sure the next gen M5/6 will compensate appropriately and put our favorite car back on top, until then let's give credit where it's due.
Dont get my wrong all credits too the rs6. But still wouldn't choose it due to in my opinion boring look.
They are BMW M6 style wheels but in 20' so obviosly copies, question is how heavy. However, we did also one more run with an M5 with stock wheels and Dinan exhaust and aftermarket ECU; the RS6 Avant was faster in that race as well

Remember the RS division builds much faster cars then S4, S6, or S8
RS4 may stay behind by a car Vs M5 but RS6 is super fast
Do not try this at home or get near RS6 or RS8 they are simply much faster cars then M series
We tested the Audi RS6 vs the S6 V10 and that was an absolut joke. 15+ carlengths.

i have a 2008 M5, alpine white, with 20"inch Hartge Classic 2 rims, in black with red outeline... and all, exterior and interior are carbon made by CA Automotive in UK...
I´m an experienced trackday and race driver... Racing 4 hours Endurance race in a Ferrari 360 Challenge...
I was hired one day at the track to drive around with people, in their cars, and one came to me, this is about 45 days ago, and asked if i would try his RS6, Brandnew... on the track, i can say, it is VERY,VERY heavy in corners, and quick on straights, but a fine compromis between a racecar or a family car it will never be like the M5, which is much more fun on a track, than the RS6 is, The Audi is a very fast familiar luxus car, but forget it on a track... its not even fun...
And i raced an RS6, in my Corvette Z06, and the Audi couldnt follow, AT ALL...
I also have a 135 I, with 270 hp, and 530 NM, and a RS 6 killer, in my BMW 323 TI, with 3,2 M3 engine and a GT35 turbo, 470 HP, and 550 nm from 2500 to 7500 rpm´s to 1250 KG... it can keep up with the corvettet from a rolling start... funny litlle thing...
