Latest GTboard Supercar Shootout: Audi RS6, LP560-4, 997 Turbo, 997 GT3RS, M5 + more

Just finished this ´today ,and some short summaries, vidoees will follow tommorrow.
  • Gallardo LP560-4 is VERY fast, not your "going even with the BMW M5" Gallardo. Very fast and nice
  • Audi RS6 Avant: I was suprised, the Audi is just plain faster than the BMW M5 Sedan, however the BMW M5 gains a bit between 240 and 270 km/h but not enough to win over the Audi. So RS6 is a fast car, faster than I thought for sure. Impressive that 4WD and automatic can beat an M5 and a stock M5 Touring would not be able to beatr an RS6 Avant. I guess 580 HP is 580 HP
  • Gallardo SE is faster than Gallardo 500 HP E Gear, that is clear. But the LP560-4 is on another level.
  • 997 Turbo (manual) is getting walked quite easy by the LP560-4
All in all, a great day and the RS6 surprised and the 560-4 is not your Gallardo caferacer: it is fast

Stay tuned for videos

HD Video 9: this is how muuch faster the Gallardo LP560-4 is to the Gallardo SE: High Definition: Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 vs Lamborghini Gallarod SE

Wow. A whole new generation of supercars. No surprise about the LP-560, that thing is insanely fast especially if it's walking the 997 Turbo easily.

But Audi RS6 Avant? The wagon version? Can't believe that they actually and finally beat us...May the next F10 M5 absolutely rape Audi.

It´s got a lot more torque as we know so it got the start pretty easy. I was there with my stock M5 and raced the RS6, I started catching up when we reached 140 mph. If the runway had been longer I would have past him. The M5 is quicker 140+ mph!

Another M5 that was there did race the guy in the RS6 on the way home also, he said that after 168 mph the RS6 was long gone

I had the new RS6 on an extended test drive, just a month ago and that's the feeling i had. In the top end, the M5 may be quicker but not up to 120 mph.. that thing has a lot of torque and i took it to speed limiter (on a private race track of course) I didn't have the opportunity to race e60 M5 but my feeling is that it takes the very top end speed for the M5 to pass RS6..

Could it be the speed limiter kicking in on RS6?

No, the funny thing is that the owner sad that the limiter was removed and that he had been reaching just over 300 km/h when he got tha car...funny thing is that Audi DOES remove the limiter, but only up to 280 km/h.

The M5 WAS faster from 240 km/h but as I said, we ran out of runway so I didn´t have time or ground to catch up. The other M5 did a highway run as I mentioned and the RS6 was long gone behind.

One other thing that made me wonder was why the owner of the RS6 did let the car cool down after 3 races only? Then he did some more runs and again, let the car cool down

It was about 10+ celsius/50 degrees out so it was a pretty cold day.
