Nitrous on an E60 M5

I know this has been topic'd a bunch of times before, but I can't seem to find a common thread. Does anyone on the list currently or has had a Nitrous system on their car?

If so, size of kit, does it require other mods (ie, software), issues w/ drivetrain durability, etc., type of kit, etc?

Thanks in advance!

That is a SICK TRUNK you have their. I too was looking into a custom Nitrous set up. The thing is, no body can really do it. If you really want it. Call ASR

ASR makes a nitrous kit for the M5. Try searching ASR Nitrous or check out their site. Everyone on here with the kit from Abid swears by it, and I think M5Ranger has probably had it the longest and I'm pretty sure he's had no issues reported up to date.

Thus far, I believe we are the only company that offers a fully tuned nitrous package for the S85. We have succesfully done over 65 kits worldwide since we developed the system almost 3 years ago. If you have any further questions please feel free to pm or contact us @ 786-258-0009, and either myself or someone from our staff will be more than happy to assist you.

Call Abid at ASR. I can tell you from personal experienced the NOS system that Abid designed is spectacular. Runs flawless and bulletproof.
I have the system for over a year and 16,000 miles. The software created by Abid handles the entire system. To me the car has also felt stronger on motor after the nitrous.
We have the fastest M5 1/4 mile of 11.56 sec with 126 trap.
You do have to change your plugs every 10,000 miles.

You will power greater than the Dinan stroker for only a couple of thousand dollars. Yes you do have to change bottles.

The pic in this thread shows the nitrous bottle in the wrong direction if you ask me?

I think you will find nearly unanimous (if not completely unanimous) opinion on this board: If you want nitrous, call ASR.

M5 1/4 mile

Not to H/J the OP thread...but Member Thrilos5 ran an 11.7 at Englishtown w/an E39 M5 with a BAD clutch and street tires....I wonder what he would have run with a good clutch on slicks....
granted an S3 costs a boatload more money than the NOS set-up....so bang for the buck is DEF. NOS.....would love to see Rangers E60 line up with Kelsters M5 S3 w/Harry driving......just a thought

Ranger's car is capable of a high 10 second pass, but the problem we were running into was the fact he had a 3.91 diff. The diff kept us from running the bottle in first and second gear because of the tremendous wheelspin. I drove the car with the nitrous on from the dig and had to pedal it down the track until 4th gear. I knew the car would run a horrible time, but what I was intersted in was the mph. In the end we ran a 12.7 @ 129.7mph. Now that we have the right Mickey Thompson DR's and the stock gear back in the car, we can't wait to get it back to the track.

As far as it being a good race against an S3 E39 M5, I guess it would depend on what mph the S3 runs in the 1/4. What kind of mph does Kelster's E39 M5 typically end up at in the 1/4 mile?
