Limiter kicked in at 170 mph

Sunday morning around 1 am I was coming back from the local races having whipped some V8 Camaros with 150 shots of NOS haha I decided to step on the pedal since the highway was completely EMPTY. The car stayed at 170 for about 7-10 seconds without accelerating any more. My ears were ringing it was unbelievable.

Last Sunday, while driving to church with my family, mine seemed to kick in at around 178.67. I'd take it into the dealer for service

When my beast was still stock, the top speed was at 270km/h while still being in 6th gear. However, after programming the ECU with AA Software, top speed was raised to the max. i.e. 330km/h at 7th gear

Hi Guys, I just purchased a new to me, 2006 M5, every option... and on the way home from Cali back to AZ... Heads Up said 167-168... and Speedo said 170! I was shocked... thinking it was going to kick in around 155, as some mags had advertised. Love the car!
