Not an M5 owner, but an M6 owner... My brother owns a s63 and we switch all the time.. EXCELENT car overal... 525hp around 500 lbs of torque, in a heavy car.. Has some power to it but a little to heavy, it feels kind of sluggish and slow but mainly because its such a smooth quiet ride... But on the luxurious side, no m5 can come close.

I have a m5 s63 and s65. The M5 is quicker than the s63.. both were stock when raced against each other.

S63 is as close as u can get to the M5 in a luxurious way. Defiantly a more mature car though.. if you want to have fun the m5 is it. If you want speed and your back massaged then the 63..

The M5 is quicker than the S63? Like from a dig? I was under the impression b/c of the massive amt of torque, the S63 is quicker, but the M5 is faster at speeds or from a roll...maybe I'm wrong, that was just my understanding...

I wasn't clear. We had to be going atleast 40mph stopping at 120.

From a start I would think the 63 would be ahead but can't say for how long.

I just picked up a CL 63 - unbelievable car.

You can't compare an M5 to an S63 - they are completely different cars in different classes. The only consideration is they both have 4 doors. That's where the similarities end.

M5: 4012 lbs, 383 lb/ft torque (10.5 lbs per lb/ft of torque)
S63: 4960 lbs, 465 lb/ft torque (10.7 lbs per lb/ft of torque)

The M5 actually has a slight advantage.

That number will likely be multiplied even more, as I am pretty sure that the M5 has a more aggressive final drive ratio than the S63
