Is Darren's testing the stroker and terrorizing the streets around Dallas considered working?????

If that's a paying job, where do I sign up?

I apologize if I offended anyone in my previous post. I personally, wanted to hear more about the performance, but it's not always about me hahaha (I hear that quite often from my wife).
I didn't think you offended anyone and I hope my comments did not convey that.

I was trying to bring to the discussion, the idea, of what this car provides in performance and comfort. The cost to performance is already a bargain. Add the cost of the stroker and you are still under the costs of the high end exotics in performance. All within the comfort and stealth of a 4 door sedan.

To make matters more attractive, as was a concern of other posters, there is a warranty. My take was to either, pick up a low milage '06 or '07 coming to its end of the warranty (we know the CPO issues is still unresolved), do the Stroker and get 2 more years on the motor. The same can be done in the coming year on my '08. Extend the motor warranty to two years when I have one year left. This would provide reassurance to those who are concerned about reliability with modding.

That's why I brought in the cost issue. Good discussion!

Besides myself, I know of three other people who have or had Schrick cams. While the dyno doesn't seem to show a gain, real-world performance seems to indicate otherwise. Could there be any explanation why the cam'd cars don't show gains? Are there any dyno junkies out there that can answer this?

They might not show gains, but cams can move the power curve around depending on lift and duration etc..

Yes Jimmy, I think that's what they do. Not long ago, I was discussing with one of the members (M6 Kelleners) and informed me that he has the highest duration cams of 296/288. He stated that they simply reduce approx. 17-20hp from the low end of the rpm range and transfares it to the top end. If I'm not mistaken RussRamz has the smaller sized cams of 292/286 which gives him more midrange power instead of top end.
