darren any thoughts of throwing the asr nos kit on your car? then you will be king of the mighty m5board lol

PS if you do that then we are going to get you to race f1 cars
No sir...I have a good strong setup with a warranty right now. I do not want to mess that up. Just wouldn't be feasible.

No...I have a custom setup created by Performing Imports out of Atlanta. They use the stock header and replace the primary 600-cell cat with a high-flow 200-cell cat from the same BMW OE Mfg.

The benefits are:

1. No CEL!!!
2. OE cat made for BMW already by same manufacturer
3. Retain high-pitch F1 race car sound, but at a lower sound level than Eisenmann Race

Cheers,

Darren

Got it! Thanks for the info Darren.

Next question. I had thought I read somewhere that Dinan would void the warranty if you add headers to their stroker engine. Maybe that was incorrect and they would not immediately void the warranty unless they can prove that your aftermarket headers caused failure to the engine or ancillary parts or maybe they don't consider your setup, an aftermaket header system since you retained the factory headers and only changed the cats. Can you comment?

Congrats again on the beast man. I'm in awe by the videos!

SBM6 is also doing the stroker on his brand new M6 and we both have confirmation from Dinan and Dealer the warranty will *not* be voided with aftermarket headers.

Thanks for the kudos man!

Does the pairing of the high-flow cats increase the sound level of whatever aftermarket exhaust is on the car?

Yes, but not as much as a header setup with no cats installed. Plus the individual header tube length and bore have some impact on the sound/tonal quality I would suspect.

Just for clarification, you are running the stock headers with cats, yes I know there are 200 cell, but is this like, like the RPI set up?

Sort of, the are similar because they use the stock headers as the basis for the solution. They differ because my setup use high-flow cats and I don't get the CEL penalty.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Darren
