New Dinan Middle Exhaust Available
I'm not sure this is for me...but I thought I'd share for those of you looking forward to this product release. It didn't have anything about performance gains, although I'm sure that is the point. Given the price point anyway I'm making the assumption this isn't just about exhaust tone.

It looks like they only offer resonator changes and secondary cat delete. Seems really expensive for straight section 1 and section 2. That would put Dinan's full exhaust system at around $5200 not installed. Wow.

Yes, that is insane...I would love to hear it though. Their cans sound pretty good.

Bummer on the price point. I had plans on getting this but I'm fairly
certain I'll need to swap out my Evosport headers for RPi headers
due to the loudness. I'm might have to rethink things now.

The price is what caught my attention, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and think there has to be some performance gain that just isn't spelled out yet. I can't imagine they are simply taking a few measurements and then throwing in a couple of $20 pieces of exhaust tubing and charging $2,000 for it. Otherwise this thing would have been out 2 years ago.

There has to be some R&D you are paying for behind this whole thing with how this all works with back pressure, air flow sensors, ECUs, etc.

That said, the ASR system would seem like a bargain compared to this complete setup.

Nice to have choices and the competition among tuners only makes what is available to us that much better.

So a couple of questions then...

Are the gains inclusive of the mufflers, or in addition to (since they are required)? Because they report those exact same gains for the mufflers alone.

Might this be similar to what ASR reported, where the max gains were not as notable as the increase in low end performance?

My initial thought is that the gains are on top of the exhaust. We'll
need someone like 550Chris to verify. I think we've seen dynos that
show that a midsection replacement usually results in this type of
gain.

My personal opinion about section 1-2-3 replacements is it's more for
bark rather than bite. For additional bite get headers.
