Lease rates on leftover 08s
I was planning to get an 09 M3 with DCT but I have heard that lease rates on 08 leftover m5s are really cheap. Is this just due to deals off sticker or is there incentive on money factor/residual also? Ready to buy anyday. Just wanted to see what people have negotiated. Thanks

58% for 36 month 10K/year lease
72% for 24 month 10K/year lease
Money factor is about 4%
Figure about $10K off sticker

When doug says $10k, he means 7.5%.

Oh, you can do much much better than 7.5%. I have a deal lined up for $15k off of MSRP. Yet somehow I just can't pull the trigger. Anyway, between now and end of month is the time to strike if you want an M5.

There is always one other deal out there that is better than the next. I was in a hurry and what I meant to write was...
You can do invoice to about $2,500 below invoice however some dealers (there was one up here in the Midwest) that will do anything to get rid of their cars - see the $15K thingy.
Note that existing supply is not what it was a month ago. So you would have to take what you can find (like the yellow one with red interior for $15K under MSRP )

If you are really interested in getting an '08 you'll want to sign the papers on or before 9/2. The October lease programs just got posted on bimmerfile and they're really ugly. The M5 fared better than most, but did take a 3% residual hit and the Owner Loyalty money factor is gone.

Currently it's an additional .0004 reduction for current (or within the last 6 months) BMWFS customers. I've heard rumors that right now it also applies to any previous BMW owner, but I'm not sure on that.

I think BMW wants you to be a current BMWFS customer within the last 6 months. I know they had to re-do my paperwork since I was not (even though I am a past customer).

I signed the paperwork on mine today to lock in the lease rates. Managed to talk my local dealer down to $4k below invoice and .25% over the buy rate on the MF. Will be bringing the Sapphire/Sepang 6 Speed home next week.
