Best Springs?
First off please dont flame i tried searching but could not find my answer. I am looking into lowering my car. I know there are many brands out that sell springs. Can you guys give me some advice on a good set of springs. I am NOT looking into getting springs for track use or anything i just want a nice set of springs that will make my beast lowered and look more aggressive. Also what is the average price of springs?
Thanks

My vote is for the H&R's. Leaves no gap from rubber to fender, hasn't sagged yet, and the ride is only comprimised on the worst of roads. Also, they have a good reputation. Eibach's, I hear, have nearly the same drop with a little more comfort. They'll run you about 450-600 installed, depending on where you go. A good shp can do the job in 2 hours or less.
*Just saw that you have an M6. I hear H&Rs are pretty rough for the 6.... consider the Eibachs.

I have the Eibachs installed since the delivery of my 08 M5. The ride remains good, no strange noise after installation and it's still running good. In terms of drop, it leaves no gap with my BBS LM 20" wheels and no worries about crossing speed bumps etc.

H&R is a good bang for the buck, I have a friend with an E60 rolling the race springs and 20"s. Only very, very slight rubbing under full load.
We carry both the Race and Sport springs.

H&Rs will give you more drop along with harshness while Eibach remains the most complient over bumps. You also have Hartge, AC Schntizer, Kelleners, etc. Run a search and you will find lots of input from many sources. Hope this helps.

I have AC Schnitzer on my car and it rides very low but absolutely no rubbing anywhere...even with 4 adults in the car.
Add 1 more to the murder count.

+1. I thought there is only one version for E60 M5 . I had H&R before and no one mentioned sport/race version .
Perfect drop and comfort, go with KWv3

Eibach and Hartge are both my picks. Better than those are full coilovers, and like Keang mentioned, get KW.

I had H&R and wasn't happy with them. I went with Eibach and never looked back.
