MDCT Shift Times Vs. SMG 3 - Real Data

        Hey guys,

Swamp2 from M3post bought an accelerometer and measuring equipment and a few of us help fund the project.

We were trying to cut through the BMW Marketing BS and see what the real shift times are. Swamp2 just collected the first set of data. I would personally like to see the shift times compared to the SMG3 of the current M5 / M6s.

If you are in the San Diego areas, please contact Swamp2 at M3post.com. Thanks for your support....the equipment is there to measure SMG3.....we just need some volunteers.

        See these threads....

I like this.. thanks for taking the time to provide us with "real world" numbers.
In a nut shell, the D3 setting shifted in 32ms while the S4 which should be faster in 200ms?
correct me if i'm wrong and why is there such a huge difference between the two?
        thanks again

Swamp2 just needs to tune the HW a bit more. I will contact you and Kenny when he is ready to roll.
