What're the '06s going for now?

I just saw an '06 M5 on *bay for 51k...Is that really the going rate for our rides from that year now? Mines got 25k miles on it. Really considering trading it in for something else when I get back home...Want to know what I should be expecting for it...

A friend of mine was just offered $46k for a loaded 06 with 18000 miles in pristine condition. Now seems like the time to buy, if you already have one, keep it and enjoy it!

Retail seems to be $50-$55K if you look at ebay, cars.com, or autotrader.com with more cars added every day and few being sold. The inventory is piling up!

It is a good time to buy! I plan to buy one immanently... Need to find a low mileage black beast soon!

Anybody who OWNS their M5, like myself , and paid 100 K PLUS for the car would be foolish to sell it unless they were in money trouble...I have a 7/100K bumper to bumper NO deductable and going to keep it...till at least 2013, or BEOND !!! signed, Buzz Lightyear

I just sold my 06 M5 for $50,000, 22,000 miles. The car had everything except HUD. I think BMW should start to rethinking their market strategy. Instead of selling M5's to whoever wants one. I think the better approach would be to allocate only a certain amount into the market, no matter how high the demand is. That should keep pre-used prices high.

I have a 2006 Silver, 18,000 miles - dealer offered me $46K for mine (S. Calif) in trade for a 2008 @ $10K off MSRP. My car was in for service at the time, I own it, so I am keeping it.

50% depreciation in 2 years is only surpassed by 2006 Surburban 3/4 ton 4wd that has depreciated 74% ($58K to $15K), thank god I bought it used and only took about 50% ($30k to $15K)!

Keep em, drive em and enjoy them, cause you are not going to get anything close for $50K!

I'm 2 years into my finance (of 5 yrs) on the M - my S550 lease is just about up and I was looking into either an S65 or a Continental GT w/Premier4509 package (love love love) to replace the two...Having 3 cars is getting to be too much to handle with all the traveling we do, but I'm not going to take that big of a bath on the M5.
