        SAT Nav on HUD

        All of a sudden my HUD is not showing the SAT Nav instructions on the HUD in p400 mode , but the rev counter as per the 'm'/p500 mode . Any ideas how to reset this ?

        There's an option in the iDrive settings where you can check/uncheck items you want displaying on the HUD. It's somewhere like:
        iDrive->Settings->display->HUD uncheck bottom item (M-view)

        I disabled the Check Warning messages too, I used to get the big DSC off warning on the HUD when I entered M-mode (S6) which was really annoying because I generally need to see the m-view (rpm tacho) as soon as I enter M-mode.

        I have it set to show the m-view (rpm tacho) at all times in any mode, if I'm using sat nav then I just follow iDrive screen arrows, if I'm in a new city I'll use voice-command "HUD settings" to quickly jump to HUD menu and turn rpm m-view off and Navigation on.

        Additionally, just FYI if you dont know it already. You can turn the HUD on or off with the push button to the right of you light switch.

        I can only do it when im in the car.. but there is a way to skip a message that comes up. Like the DSC icon, whenever that comes up I push something and it clears that message and goes immediately back to the tach or navi.

        You're absolutely right you can click the little button on the end of the idicator stalk to clear the check messages on the HUD and dash but even that was too much for me

        I press that button more than enough when I've got 1/4 tank of fuel left and it's warning me to fill up and covers the bottom line of the iDrive so I cannot see the time (we can choose how long to keep our coming home lights on but cannot set how many miles remaining before our fuel alert chimes in, I know which I'd prefer to be able to set).
