Whats the deal with Meisterschaft exhaust?

Ok guys, I've been out of the loop for a while. I sold my 06 M5 a year ago, and now I am planning to get a 08 M5.

Anyways I still have my Meisterschaft GT exhaust from when I had the car. I heard its made in Korea?? Is there anything wrong with that (build quality??) I looked on the Eisenhaus Website and they have the Meisterschaft GT/GT2 in Titanium and SS. Is it still made in Korea? Is it any better then what I have now?

Also how does the Titanium and SS compare in sound?!?

The company got into trouble when they got involved in selling knock offs of eisenman products, as eisenmann products. They continue to have misrepresentations and inaccuracies on their website, and have had a number of problems with customers - so that does say something about them as a business... buyer beware (plenty of threads in here on them...)

But nothing major wrong with the exhausts, such as they are, some members have them and like the sound/looks - - as long as you know they don't have a R&D etc like a company like eisenmann, and you are aware of where they are made -Korea etc as stated (so costs should be much lower etc)...

        .

        Please note:

Meisterschaft products are being offered in following 4 levels:
        1. MST Touring Sport performance
        2. MST Touring High performance
        3. MST GT-Racing performance
        4. MST GT2 Label Racing performance

Previously, we had a customers who thought Meist GT units being little too loud and Touring Sport being too quite/soft.
So, GTHAUS is now offering the "Touring HP" version to satisfy the specific clients who want: Sound very similar to Touring Sport version when the motor is kept lower RPM range, But will sound close to "Meist GT" when you go W.O.T.

Also, we have recently started to offer "GT2" label unit for those who have not had enough of GT sound. GT2 has louder and meaner sound even compared to GT version. It tends to have even higher screaming pitch noise as well as more volume tone when it is under load / higher RPM. GT2 is the meanest and loudest exhaust set up you can purchase for your M cars.
        (GT2 Label units are offered only for E60 M5, E39 M5, E63/64 M6 and E92/92 M3)

Venom77, hope you are enjoying your MST GT oval tip (shadow chrome) exhaust with Section pipes.
        How's the sound?

All very interesting, but how about responding to the questions as to where these things arebeing built and what materials are being used. The OP certainly isn't looking to buy another exhaust from you. You can change your company name, but the questions remain the same!

Since Titanium GT/GT2 units are a lot lighter compared to stock unit and also even compared to our T304/316 SUS GT/GT2(Stainless steel version), it tends to have a little different exhaust tone.

Significant weight savings (on Ti units) will not only have weight reduction advantage, but also, on sound - natural frequency (resonance) sets on different range (like a Cello versus Violin - in this case, different material/ density of material makes difference), Ti unit does not tend to move around as much on force turns, so even Ti (GT/GT2) unit is purely aggressive in sound, but it does not vibrate or shake around as much as SUS units. It is really odd feeling when you punch it (hard run), in a very refined way. you can even feel more such on lighter vehicles such as E90/92 M3s and new 135s. Some people who experienced our Ti units will possibly say, it has softer sound, but that feeling comes from less vibration - caused by less weight/mass movement and different resonance range / not quieter. ...Jeez, it is hard to explain..

anyways.., We will post up some weight info for you.

Both Meisterschaft Titanium and SUS units are proudly produced at GTHAUS factory in Korea under extreme quality control. If you have seen our products in person, you will know what we mean by this.

I can vouch that the products are top notch quality. I have been to the facility and witnessed the different styles of exhaust for our cars.

I'm aware your exhaust has good build quality with a menacing sound. I'm just curious have you guys ever dyno test your mufflers? What's your expected hp gains?
