According to these pages from SuperSprint's Catalog (look at last page of BMW2.pdf file and pages 1, 8, and 9 from BMW3.pdf file for the M5 and M6 systems), they are getting almost 60 rwhp gain... But I don't know how accurate their results are or on which dyno machine they used

That is my point.
Of course there is variability between stock motors. The magnitude of that variability prevents firm conclusions regarding the effects of modifications that produce minor horsepower and torque increases (since a 10-hp variation between motors can be equal to a, for example, claimed 10-hp increase from filter removal, CAI, or something similar). However, when dealing with increases of the magnitutude discussed here, the variability between the original stock motor and the stroker before it became a stroker is relatively insignificant.

That is correct. Although, Dinan can take your original motor and apply the conversion to it if you're dead set on keeping your serialized engine block with your car.

+1. 'Downside is their engine "build" capacity is 1 - 2 per month. Depending on backlog queue, your motor could sit there for quite some time, waiting it's "turn". Obviously, your car would be laid up for that time, as well.

Clear on the subject. I have been informed by another member ( Chris550 ) about the known statistical variation of E60/E63 motors and how significant it may be.
I am an idiot and know nothing but it seemed to me to be comparing apples to oranges regarding the motors.

I beg to differ. Your vast experience with high performance cars speaks for itself. I think you make interesting points that lead to lively discussion and inspire some to use their grey matter and think. The passion in your posts is palpable and never dull, and it is good to have people like you keeping people like me on their toes.

Warranty issues aside, I do think that the Dinan stroker with headers, combined with ASR exhaust, CAI, and nitrous would be unbelievable and "the best of both worlds." Perhaps Abid can convince someone in South Beach to go for it.
