For sure Im doing an exhaust I just want more sound from this car the more I drive it I just want more

My options are

Eissenman
Corsa
Tubi i think makes one
RPI
any other ideas?

Corsa would work great but I hate the tips and what ever happend with the speculation of lost power???

Anyway car is leased and Im not spending 7k for headers and stuff I just want rear mufflers for 5db more sound with no interior resonance.

Suggestions? Youtube vids are so hard to compare versus real time sound.

What type of sound are you aiming for? The Eisenmann is very raspy with high pitched tone and is only the cans, whereas an ASR is the full cat back system and has a much more burbly and low rumbly tone till about 6500rpm or so. The SuperSprint is too tame for my liking. Barely more noticable then stock compared to the other.

I would be happy with just mufflers to be honest. I want more F1 type sound but not overkill like the Kreiseeig stuff i mean the car can sound like a Ferrari but it dosent look like one so I hate to pose as one.

I have an AMG E63 and it sounds more muscle car like, loud nice gurgles its cool but the car itself bores the crap out of me. My 996 RUF Porsche is just ballistic

I want something in between. It seems like most of the sound I hear in the car is from the engine itself I want to have it scream more at the upper RPM range not on the low RPM range. I also dont want resonance when cruising in 2nd and 3rd gear and look like an idiot waking up the neighborhood.

And lastly i dont want to spend 5-8k on parts for a leased car. My Porsche is owned so I spent major loot on the car im afraid to even think.

Ill be honest the Corsa seems to suit my needs fine but am i cheezy putting a Corsa on a BMW when Corsa is known mostly for detroits finest?

Seriously consider the Dinan exhaust as well.....I was worried it wouldn't be loud enough....it is fine as it is....AND if in the future I want more....I can have my local muffler shop remove the reasonaters and make a X pipe for under $200....AND used Dinans pop up quite frequently for $1100-$1400

With your perameters jsut given, I would say Eisenmann sport/race are the best bets for you. Again, it is all subjective to each individual person's taste, so please keep us updated on what you end up deciding to do.

exhaust

if you're looking for F1 sound... take a close look at AA... now I know AA has been screwing up lately with the exhaust itself and the customer service and all... but I just delt with them and they were pretty good... they said that their latest batch was made on a new jig and it should be perfect... I'm going to hold them to that... I'm putting them on next week.

E Race? He said he didn't want to wake up the neighborhood........

Go ASR and you won't look back.

Ok checked lots of vids today

Eisennman Race is too loud
Eisennman sport is not loud enough to justify the 3k cost over stock

Kreiseigg sounds insane but its 8k and sounds too much like a Lambo and Ferrari its overkill

Corsa I really am liking alot

Borla I have yet to hear
AC I havent heard
Hartge I havent heard

Anyone else have vids or links to these others so I can check. I plan to order one this week.

Hey M5TekNYC it seems by your post that you will not consider giving a look at the ASR exhaust system.
ASR presently has a thread with a video of the exhaust system.

I will be getting the new generation II ASR exhaust this week. I have generation I which I love but gen. II is awesome. I will post a video.

Good luck with choice

I just installed an ASR generation II system last week. Great fitment and sound, but it is much more of a deep burbly V8 tone than the V10 scream he stated he wanted above. So I am not sure its the exhaust for him...

M5TekNYC got the video of the ASR gen.II exhaust.
To me this system has a great exhaust note and on the flat out run (WOT) it screams. The M6 shown was 100% stock.

Also many members are happy with the Dinan exhaust. Another one to checkout.

Good luck

Well M5TekNYC have you made a decision?

You should meet up with other members in your area and listen to them in person.
Take advantage of a great resource...other member's experiences.
The other day I heard an Eisenman race. I knew from the videos that it was loud, but in person :eek:oohhh:. It was awesome to hear, but may not be for everyone.

I went through the same thing. What I found was to not listen to the YouTube vids because they really don't give a good representation of the sound.

I started with the Meistershaft GT but it was way too loud and the droning was unreal. I though about bullet resonators to remove them but was advised that even that wouldnt remove it all. I ended up with the Eissenmann Sport and the Xpipe.

Perfect for what I wanted and the oval tips are sexy :).
