        Aggressive Down Shift Pause

I have noticed lately that when I down shift regardless of whether I am in M mode with traction control off or just S5 and P500 the car at times will pause at a certain RPM when I down shift and gas it full throttle. For an example, if I am going about 50 mph and down shift into 2nd while punching it the car stays at about 7,000 rpms for a second before it kicks into gear. The funny thing is that it does not do this all the time. I did the SMG reset and then tried it again and it was very responsive to my shifts. Every now and then it will bog like I explained above. It is the same feeling response wise as if you hit the rev limiter. I am curious if this is driver error or if I need to take it in for a check up. Thanks.

I used to have similar problem before ess remapped when downshifting and the car lag for a second before power re-delivery (like turbo lag). THen after ess tuned, it's more spontaneous. Maybe throttle response remapped might help.

        Jeff,

I would never leave you out on a run. When you handicap your car with the 21" HREs (which should be tomorrow from what Peter told me) I will run you again. My slow beast may even need a running head start . In all seriousness, this is just me jacking around on Preston at night on the way home from work just going from 40-80. I did the SMG reset again last night and did a few agressive downshifts this morning and everything was fine. Yung told me to bring the car in next weekend; I guess we shall see. Thanks for having my wife and I over for your party. It was alot of fun!
