E60 interior lights (mood lights) pic request

Hi guys,

First of all this is not an M5 question - sorry

I am in the process of finalising an order for a new E60 (diesel ).

(it's for my wife, she's 6 months pregnant with our first and needs to replace her coupe)

One of the options listed is the interior lighting package, this includes additional lights in glove box, puddle lights in the rear doors, additional lighting in the boot (trunk), a light in the exterior mirror that will illuminate the exterior of the car when you press the unlock button (for those who cannot find the door handles at night ) and 'ambient lighting' in the front and rear doors.

By any chance would any of you guys have pictures of such lighting?

Anything at all will help.

Pretty sure I will go ahead and spec the package but I am very curious as to how it will look.

Thanks in advance,

Richie.

I know exactly what you're talking about. Its the little white LEDs on the rear-view mirrors. I don't have a pic however, sorry.

They can be helpful at night, but they're no spotlight or anything like that.

Thanks for that - I have never seen an E60 here with that option.

If no one gets you a pic by May 2nd, I'll get one for you then because that is when I get to go home from college.

Many thanks for that - appreciate the help.

The curiosity is getting the better of me, we'll have the new car in July so I'll know for sure then.

Does your car have additional lighting on the interior door cards?

I have the lighting on the bottom of my mirrors when the car unlocks. I love, it looks really cool, but it's not super bright. I will try and get a picture of it when I get a chance.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think my dads car has lighting by the bottom of the doors. I'll take a look next time

Many thanks for that.

I thought there may be additional lighting somewhere in the door cards themselves, like toward to top somewhere?

Anyway, thanks again, I'll wait until you get back home

My car has this and yes its nice especially the door mirror lights but how much extra is it?
The aditional lights are as you mentioned,
mirrors - (puddle lights)white leds
extra light on boot lid (inside which lights up the first aid kit)
interior door handles
the storage bins on the front door cards
Went out and checked, thats all I can see.

The best bit is defo the puddle lights, although these are no were near as nice as the ones on an E90, they are in the bottom of the door handles front and back.
