2008 M5 has factory rolled fenders....

I took a look at <2007 cars and the fenders are different, they are not rolled and have a piece of plastic sticking out in the rear. My 2008 car does not have this plastic.

It's the very rear of the fender, where the fender meets the bumper. It is smooth, I was told that one pre 08's there is a piece of plastic that protrudes out.
