Announcement: The Tire Rack has been informed that as of 3-3-08 BBS pricing will be significantly increased

While, I do not have 100% of the new pricing information at this time there will be a significant change in ALL BBS product pricing. The price changes will be effective as of 3-3-08.

I know, I have spoken to many members about BBS wheels recently so, I wanted to give everybody as much advance notice as possible regarding this new BBS pricing.

If you have any questions regarding BBS product availability and/or pricing please contact me directly or post those questions in this thread.

I will be monitoring this situation along with this thread closely today and tomorrow.

This is just another change in business strategy from the new owners of BBS much like the previously posted change to wholesale pricing.

here's the previous post regarding the new pricing policy from BBS corp.

This is a change that is being made worldwide by the new owners of BBS, Punch intl. There is no longer a wholesale pricing program available for mass distributors like The Tire Rack.

        Thanks Luke

Does this affect wheels already in stock by TR? Or is this on new stock?

        1 Euro = 1.52 USD.

        There's your price increase.

Wonder when the car makers will start to increase prices???

it effects every BBS product and, as some other companies have discovered, not following the new corporate policy you can lose your dealer agreement and the rights granted under that agreement.

So a wheel today for $400 that is in stock...come Monday will be more for the exact same wheel that has been sitting in the wharehouse?

Thats sucks. I really like those BBS LM-R's in 20" that ya guys have sitting there.

yes .. that is correct ... a business in our industry must comply with the dealer agreements that have been contractually entered into with any manufacturer. That and the fact replacing the inventory inhouse will cost significantly more. Look at it this way ... if BMW suddenly said all M5's now have a $130,000 price tag that's the price all BMW dealers would be asking and that's what the window stickers would say ... when the dealership took delivery of the car would have zero effect on the pricing.

atleast, you are getting an advance warning of the increase .... however short it may be
