My question being, has any US Spec M5 or M6 owner found a BMW enthusiast / import mods company that knows how to reprogram the US Spec ECU to Non US Spec Standards enabling Launch the REAL Launch Control, raise the 150mph limit etc!!

Turner Motorsport posted about being able to do the Euro LC a while back but I don't see it on their website. There was a thread on it on this forum.

Also, more recently Singh Autosport also stated they can do this and I think their price is around $2500.

Thanks ECF, I'll contact both & post the results for the benefit of others! $2500 might not be worth it for the # of times I plan to use it!

Here's the thread where this topic was recently discussed. It also has a link to the old thread from Turner. Has anyone experienced this launch contol from this company yet?

The cost for the Singh Autosport programming is actually $2495 (close enough). I believe $1500 is for their software tune that increases power, throttle response, rev limiter and speed limiter and then there's an additional $1K for the Euro LC. To get the Euro LC, you have to get the base software first but you can get the base software without doing the Euro LC and so, only spend $1500.

I've talked with Jags, owner of Singh Autosport a couple years ago as he's local here. Very knowledgeable guy. They do software tunes for a lot of high end exotics.

I read thru all the Will Turner posts & I'm sure he knows what he's doing. $2500 for the upgrades is one thing, driving or shipping my car to MD for 3 days is another. Just not feasible for me personally, so the search continues.

Great info, I appreciate everyones posts & the info you've shared.

EuroCarFan,

I e-mailed Singh Autosport & received a phone call from Jags in less than 1 minute! I gave him chit stating he needed to work on his response time. LOL! I don't think I could say it any better or any more accurately than you did above. Very knowlegeable & friendly gentlemen. No pressure, very modest about his company & their accomplishments. He's going to e-mail me the procedure for removing & shipping the components necessary for completing the upgrade. I think I'm in!

That's great! Once you pull the trigger, can you update the other thread that discusses this mod specifically so members can read of your experiences?
