You really made an effort!

All right how the hell does that guy chirp that much from 3rd to 4th let alone a mini chirp from 4th to 5th? Sandy road, horribly worn tires, he has the stroker motor?

I know this is an old thread but when I purchased my car I asked the dealer to plug it in as I wanted to know how many launches the car had done before I done the deal.
Guess what they could not do it !
I even spoke directly to their M tech and he assured me there was no way of telling, the car does not store this info. He claims it was a scare tactic used by BMW to prevent a mass of cars being brought in for clutches etc under warranty.
I also read my owners man cover cover and looked over the launch control several times as well as the warranty info and there is no mention of a limit to the number of launches. What it does say is that the car will not allow you to do several launches within a short period. A centain amount of miles must be covered before the car will allow another launch.
Surely if there was a limit BMW would have to make it well known and clear in the handbook to keep it legal?

So there you go.
5,4,3,2,1 - Blast off !
